Homemade burgers are always a hit in my household and these homemade tamarind lamb burgers are no exceptions! Flavoured with garlic, ground and fresh coriander and a little tamarind bbq sauce, they are a brilliant choice for anyone who loves lamb!
1tablespoontamarind bbq sauceUse 1 teaspoon of tamarind paste as a substitute
Pinchsalt and pepper
Instructions
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands.
Divide into two burger patties and put in the fridge to rest for 30 minutes.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side.
Serve the burgers in burger buns with your choice of toppings. I added rocket (arugula), tomato slices, red onion slices, tzatziki and tamarind bbq sauce.
Bbq cooking instruction
If you're having a bbq you can also cook these on the bbq. The time will depend on the temperature of the bbq so turn them over at least once as they are cooking.
Air fryer cooking instructions
I found these took longer to cook in the air fryer than in a frying pan. I have tested one out and it took about 15 minutes at 195℃ in an air fryer in a liner. I used the liner to stop the air fryer getting too greasy.
