I am loving my latest kitchen applicance! The Froothie Evolve High Speed Blender is great for making soups, smoothies, sorbets, nut butters and even baby food. It not only blends but cooks, steams and cleans itself too! You can even talk to it.

Froothie Evolve Review
Over the last week I've been very busy in my kitchen testing out all the functions of my new Froothie Evolve blender*. So far I've made soups, smoothies and nice cream! It's a great blender for loads of reasons. I'll explain each one in more detail but here are a few of its main features:
- Powerful 2400w motor
- Large capacity: Heating 1400ml / Blending 1750ml
- 2 tempered glass jugs
- Cooks and blends / Steams and blends
- Range of functions (smoothie, sauce, soup, nut butter, sorbet, baby food, steam and cleaning)
- Vacuum function: No oxidation for smoothies
- Smart Blender with Bluetooth and voice activation for hands-free blending
- Smart and modern: Comes in 5 different colours!
- 5 years warranty
Powerful Motor
The powerful motor means that the Froothie Evolve can blend even tough items. It easily crushes ice and turns nuts into creamy nut butters.
If you're using the soup function there is even no need to peel tough vegetables such as butternut squash. The Froothie Evolve will cook it and blend it to give you a silky smooth soup. So far I've made a potato soup and a creamy green vegetable soup and both were really good!
Large capacity
The problem with some blenders is that they are just not big enough! The 1400ml capacity of the heating jug means that you can make enough soup to feed a family and even have leftovers for the next day!
2 Tempered Glass Jugs
Most blenders come with plastic jugs. The Froothie Evolve comes with 2 tempered glass jugs. This means that they are stronger and tougher than most blender jugs. Because they are made of glass, they are better for the environment too!
One of the jugs is for cooking and works with the steam, smooth soup, chunky soup, baby food and sauce settings.
The other jug is for blending and works with the smoothie, fruit and veg, sorbet and nut butter settings.
Because the jugs are made of glass it does mean that they are quite heavy but they definitely feel very strong.
Cook and Blend, Steam and Blend
Traditionally when I've wanted to make a soup I would cook the soup on the hob and then either use a stick blender to make it smooth or I've had to pour the soup into blender to liquify it. I love the fact that with the Froothie Evolve you can make smooth soup in half an hour and it does everything for you!
Just put all the ingredients in the jug. Select the setting and it will then cook and blend it for you. There's less washing up and it's healthy too!
The cooking jug also comes with a stainless steel cooking basket that fits inside the jug. You can steam vegetables and then blend them to make baby food or vegetable dips. You can even cook rice in it!
Range of Functions
I've mentioned quite a few of the functions already. What's great for me is that you can do so much with the Froothie Evolve. The fact that you can cook as well as blend to make soup really is something that I love about it.
Vacuum Function for smoothies and Fruit and Veg
When you put ingredients for a smoothie in the blender jug and select the smoothie function, it first creates a vacuum by removing the air. This means that after the smoothie has blended there will be zero oxidation and the contents shouldn't separate.
This is definitely a bonus if you are not planning to drink the smoothie immediately. By the way, that is my green ginger smoothie in the jug below!
Bluetooth and Voice Activation
You can download an app for your phone which connects to the Froothie Evolve via Bluetooth. You can then activate all the functions via your phone. This would be great if you wanted to load the Froothie up the night before then in the morning use the app so it would start making a smoothie while you were still getting up.
For me though, I just love the voice activation. You say, 'Hey Froothie!' And she (it's a female voice) replies, 'Hello'. You can then tell her what you want her to do for example: 'Make my smoothie'. Or sorbet as in the video below!
Smart and Modern Design
As you can see, I've got the black Froothie Evolve which matches my kitchen perfectly. But its also comes in red, blue, white and silver.
How to Clean the Froothie Evolve
The blender jug has a cleaning function. Just add a little water and some washing up liquid and select clean. You can then use the cleaning brush that comes with it to get rid of any stubborn bits or to make sure it's really clean.
To clean the cooking jug, do exactly the same but select pulse to clean the jug.
The jugs can't be used in the dishwasher or submerged in water because of the electric elements in the base.
Overall Verdict
I am absolutely delighted with my Froothie Evolve and I love the different functions. For me, I know I'm going to be making lots of soups, smoothies and nice creams in it and I definitely want to try the nut butter function soon too. I love the voice activation and how easy it is to clean.
If there are any cons it's that it is pretty heavy but at least you know it's solid and built to last! You also do need to make sure you don't get the bases of the jugs wet so need to take care when cleaning them.
I do also understand this is quite a pricy blender. If you are looking for a cheaper option then why not try Froothie's most popular blender the Optimum 9200a*?

As I said, I've been busy testing out the Froothie Evolve in my kitchen and have made a few smoothies and soups already. I am especially pleased with this deliciously smooth and creamy spiced leek and potato soup!
I've also loved testing the sorbet function. I've made blueberry nice cream with a hint of almond and this delicious pina colada nice cream.
