Bread and Dough Recipes
Making homemade bread and dough is far easier than lots of people think. It may take time if you're kneading by hand but at the same time it can be relaxing and a great activity to do at the weekends if you've got a little more time.
That smell of freshly baked homemade bread is so comforting and almost irresistible!
Here on Searching for Spice I've got quite a few recipes and many can be adapted to be made by hand or by using a bread maker. There are recipes for plain bread rolls and burger buns as well as flavoured breads. I've also recipes for foccacia and pizza bases as well as flatbreads.
If you like making quick breads such as soda bread or scones I've also got a few great recipes. Some of these like the scones are very quick to make indeed.
So, if you think bread is too complicated or time consuming, think again! It is doable to make bread from scratch and if you've got children, it's a great activity to do together.
