Cake Recipes

I try not to eat too many sweet things but I have to admit that I do love cake recipes.   I especially like easy recipes that can be whipped up in next to no time.    There are one of two more elaborate cake recipes here on Searching for Spice but most of these recipes are quick and easy to make as well as being super delicious.

If you're looking for something to satisfy a sweet tooth then I've got lots of simple muffin recipes, easy cupcake recipes as well as tempting tray bakes.

I often make these cakes as after school snacks for my children.   They love it when I arrive at pick up time with a freshly baked cake.

Some of these cakes are very sweet but most of the recipes are not too sweet.  There are some refined sugar free recipes as well.   I don't have a particularly sweet tooth and I often cut down on the sugar content a little when following recipes.

I am also not a big fan of icing and frosting.  Unless I need to make a cake look pretty for the photographs, I tend to leave it off.   That's probably why I love muffin recipes as no icing is needed.
